(The merino wool comes from Uruguayan farms that allow their sheep to run free-range through the hills, herded by shepherds. The practice of mulesing does not exist in Uruguay).

This amazing hand dyed merino yarn is produced by a family owned yarn company located in Uruguay and Peru. Mecha's soft single ply superwash yarn, is kettle dyed in small batches by artisan dyers. Mecha has a slight thick-and-thin texture, fantastic loft, and it's bulky weight is perfect for quick but not-too-heavy projects.
Use for: Knitting or crocheting accessories, garments, baby and kids items, cables, textured stitches. Also lovely for weaving or other yarn crafts.
Gauge: 11sts - 13 sts = 4 inches
Needle Size: 6mm - 8mm (US 10 - 11) / Hook Size: 6.5mm - 9 mm (US K-10/12 to M-13)
Care: Machine washable, gentle cycle, cold water, do not tumble, dry flat.
Please note:
Be sure to get enough yarn to complete your project since each bag is a different dye lot, and skeins may vary from bag to bag. Skeins may vary one from the other even within the same bag. To ensure random colour distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball.
